I have jumped mine a couple times with my modern car without any issues. Disconnected right after it started. It's an odd feeling to connect the Model A side with the positive to ground while the 12-volt side goes with the traditional connection. You wouldn't want to have bumpers touching each other while so connected (Except that my 2005 Honda has all plastic bumpers)
