My first hot rod was a 39 deluxe coupe with a nail head in 1972. It had a split back bench seat which made it easy to access the area under the package tray. My newly acquired 40 standard coupe has the one piece back rest seat that is hinged at the top. What distinguishes what seat you have in a 40 coupe? Accessing the area behind the seat is not as handy as it was with the split bench. Am I right in assuming the business coupe with had the one piece back and the coupe with jump seats would of course have a split back?
