Default Re: Vacuum Brake 1932-1948 Ford

I machine off the lip. I found a supplier that makes leather gaskets for large ships. They sold me 3,000 5/8” circles that were scraps from making large gaskets. I’ve used roughly 700 of them. They are much thinner than original but again I Machine off the lip, and I run little to no tension on the vacuum brake, as in today’s fuels I don’t think it’s needed for the purpose it was designed for.
