Default Eng work on Canadian '48 in car

Hi all; The '48 Canadian 114X had USA cylinder heads, always bugged me, so when a water pump locked up the work began--- New Fryer pumps, Bubba dist, and replace those heads with correct 7RA Canadian heads. So far easy-peezy. Found the eng still showed cyl hone marks, no ridge and a stock 3 3/16" bore! Best of all it is a factory relieved block! Were all 46-48 Canadian engs factory relieved?? I'll have to open some core engs someday. also the trapizoid water passage evident in this '48 eng. Eng and trans were gray in both my Canadian '48s. Both original vehicles! At one time I had 4 Canadian Fords/Mercurys- down to two and may be down to one to finance my '40 cpe addiction. enjoy photos Newc
