Low drip point or melt point grease works well in the old Ford
steering box's. High temperature grease will stay in place when hot
and the gear cuts a hole in the center and the gears run dry. When the
low temp grease gets warm it sags down to the bottom and the gears
pick up lubrication. They don't leak with grease if the gaskets are good.
