Dad told me a long long time ago, "if the cork is bobbin' you have gas but if it ain't bobbin' then you better be pouring some more gas in the tank." This was after a just purchased Model A ran out of gas but was showing 1/4 tank on the gauge. Danged wire was bent and I did not check.
