Its a mix of old and newer. When the power lines first came here in 1956 it was all overhead wires and of course transformers up on the yardlight poles in every farm yard. When this area switched to underground back about 1990 they had to adapt a little to hook up to the existing transformer. Some went with concrete pad mount transformers at that time but this one is the original 1956 creosote treated post but an updated, bigger transformer. We use a little more electricity now than in 1950s.
