If you're over seventy, you can't get in without help, much less get out. My wife and i don't get in the rumble seat of our 29 Roadster. I've been in maybe once or twice and that was enough.
You put your right foot on the step on the right fender, hold on to the rumble lid and the fender, turn and put the left foot on the step on the bumper, then step down to the street. Most people have someone give them a hand to get out.
We leave that to the grandchildren. Our daughters and their husbands all go to the gym regularly so they have no problems getting in and out by themselves.
