Evaporust is one of the worse things you can use.
Acetone / ATF is a good alternative.
Also check the cam, lifters, and make sure it is really in neutral.
Maybe jack up the rear wheels and make sure that the brake is off.

Another alternative is to drain the oil, etc. fill the motor - transmission with kerosene and let it sit for awhile. Then drain the kerosene and see if it is loose.
