It may be old paint, but it is highly unlikely that it hasn't been re-painted (perhaps in the original colors) and re-striped. Metallic silver striping wears off quickly with repeated washes and wax jobs and even the finest surviving original lacquer paint would not have the reflective quality of that exhibited on your cowl and body side.
