Anyone wanting a good, light read (160-some pages) along these lines should check out the book, "Where did you go? Out. What did you do? Nothing." Read this little gem years ago and don't know why, but always thought Jean Sheppard wrote it. Maybe same genre, kid/growing up stuff, was what made me think that. Anyway, Robert Paul Smith wrote it. Wrap the handle of yer baseball bat with friction tape?
