Whatever you do, the most important thing is to go at it systematically. I am just suggesting eliminating fuel system problems first, since to me, they seem the most likely (changing the power valve seemed to help). Then move on to ignition. The worst thing to do is to jump around randomly changing out parts. There are a lot of experienced knowledgeable people on this forum, and if their consensus is to start with the ignition, well, that's where to start.
