I didn't do the swap........... I bought the car that way from a late friends widow.
It's a pretty simple swap as far as the engine to trans piece.
He used a V8 "hogshead" and an aluminum home built plate (aftermarket plates are available) drilled for the S10 pattern.
The 32 pedals are in place and remain untouched.
I think he used the Ford pressure plate and the correct clutch disc for the S10 spline.
The S10 requires modification to the 32 center crossmember and is open drive.
It's an easy job for your F100 as it is already open drive.
The 53 bellhousing can be done like the mumert y block bell, but the T170 would be a much better choice.

The other issue is your clutch linkage..its more of a challenge then the 1952 and older pickup

They made an adapter were you could bolt a muncie to the y block pattern which is the same as a 53 pickup transmission and vise versa but those adapters are pricey .
