Re: Rear axle seals from napa?
We buy our rear hub seals from C&G. For the 36-48 cars, the factory number is 78-1175. This is for the 2.78" OD axle housings. The pickups, 28-36, the diameter is 3.12". In mid 1936 the change to the 2,78 seals was made. We prefer the seals with the red outer edge coating. We had some of the non coated seals, and most collapsed before they could be seated in the hub.
