One indicator that I use is to look for a zerk grease fitting in the center, bottom area of the torque tube. If the zero is there, then most likely there is a center bearing in torque tube, with a solid driveshaft, which usually has six splines, and a 6 to 10, or 6 to 6 spline coupler connecting the driveshaft to the pinion gear. Usually, if there is no provision for a zero fitting in center of torque tube, there would be hollow driveshaft, with a 10 spline bung welded in place.
