I would never use powder coating. The wheels on my 1930 CCPU were powder coated when I bought it in a nice burgundy colour. They have faded to a dirty rusty brown colour and they look terrible. I bought the car out of the US so going back to the people who did it is out of the question. I think the job was done in Canada anyway.
I'm following this to see if I can avoid sand blasting al 5 and starting again. That would be expensive.
