Default Distributor cap corrosion

I have a converted Chevy distributor in my 8BA. It started missing some when I rev it a little so I looked for a problem. The distributor cap has aluminum terminals and 3 or 4 of them have that white corrosion in them and the brass terminals on the plug wires are discolored on the mated wires. I was using NGK B6L plugs and some of them have really high resistance readings. I'm putting new wires on and have changed to Autolite 216 plugs. I used a bore brush and cleaned the cap terminals. I had already mixed the plugs up before I took the resistance readings so I don't know if they were on the corroded wires. I'll get a brass terminal cap, but I'm wondering if the high resistance in the plugs might have caused the corrosion in just a few cap terminals.
