As a 12 yr old kid I bought a 1951 Chev 1/2 ton. I had as close to zero money as you could get, so the local boneyard was my parts source. One time I remember needing a "three on the tree" shifter and shift box as mine was completely wore out. I went digging around up there and found one in perfect condition, nearly new. The donor vehicle was just a bit better than the above vehicle, the cab was there but not much else. Pankinen, the boneyard owner charged me $2.
