The Ford Barn - View Single Post - Ford script cast in block just above water intake?

I have a Model B engine with GS in larger letters in the same place,
but no Ford Script. The engine was on a WW2 Fire pump
There are pictures of it on Vince's site

I think they were cast on there to show that they were built for Government Service

Anyone else have any ideas??
