Default Re: What I Did on My Lunch Hour

I've been enjoying driving the '39 LZ and yesterday I had to do some house building related work so I drove the LZ over to a stainless steel fabrication shop (need an exhaust hood insert made) and while I was there I asked if they could fabricate the stainless door sill moldings for the Zephyr... The drivers side is missing and the passenger side had been cut so only about two thirds of the original remains. I've not been successful in trying to locate an original set so; if these guys can replicate the originals (they are going to try) I'll be a happy camper...

Also, I plan on sending the running boards up to Huntley Acuff to have them redone. I've seen several '38 LZ's that have taupe colored running boards and I'd like to know if the '39 LZ's had taupe colored running boards as an option, anybody know
