Ok, there are all kinds of different feelings of what works best in the trans. Some have proposed the gear head oil, and been told that it is probably to thick. I THINK that it is a "O" grease. If that is so, Has anybody ever thought of using a "OO" grease ? I am using oo in my steering box. It is not nearly as thick as O. I am familiar with it as having been a Snapper dealer for many many years it is used in all the transmissions and gearboxes on snapper equipment,(except hydro of course). Snapper at one time years ago tried using "O" grease, but found out that it wouldn't run back, and promptly said to go back to "OO" . I believe it is spec'd for all type of gears.
