I'm up here in Canada & my grandfather had a cement mixer that was powered by a "Made in Canada" flathead out of a 34 Truck (assuming that based on the grill shell that was also used on the cement mixer, also it is an "early" style motor), I re-purposed the aircleaner on my 8BA powered Model A (apologies in advance for posting a hot rod picture , but thought it's ok in this circumstance) & yes it does have slightly tapered sides, happy to have found this thread, explains why I haven't seen many of them !
