Question Wiring with voltage regulator

I am finishing up wiring on my 1939 Pickup. The wiring harness I purchased shows has a YB (Yellow Black) wire connecting from the generator to one side of the single fuse block.

However, the truck was converted and uses a voltage regulator with a two brush generator. The generator has three terminals; armature, field, and ground. These terminals on the generator will have wires connecting to the voltage regulators armature and field terminals with the ground wire connecting to the mounting screw holding the regulator.

What I am wondering, does the YB wire from my 1939 wiring harness connect to the battery side of the voltage regulator as the cutout on the generator is now gone? I hope I am explaining this properly and appreciate any advice. Thanks.
