The backlash varies (loose/tight) at several points around the gear. Also, the points don't appear to be 180 degrees apart from on another. I'm having a hard time understanding how one would get these results if the mains were off center. If off center, wouldn't the backlash be either too loose or too tight consistently around the entire gear?
