Thanks Bill, I know there are issues concerning the rpm's needed to operate an alternator vs. a generator. I also know that, with some people, there are concerns with mounting a fan on the front of a alt., like with the Powgen alternator. And there are some who just don't like a fairly heave metal 4 blade fan swing in the breeze basically out in the open.

At this point I'm not really sure which way I want to go. I may even scrap the gen system to be able to go to a pointless ign. system.

My main concern is with cooling, was the fan moved lower for this reason, and did it make a big difference?
