Gosh there was an article in Rodders Journal a few years ago that profiled a custom '34 Coupe built by Gil Ayala (I think) and owned by Andy Granatelli.

The car was absolutely beautiful. It was reduced in almost every dimension but it still maintained its excellent proportions. It was chopped, channeled and sectioned. It was even shortened and painted a very subdued pale pale green.

The point is that this Ford Coupe was equipped with Grancor equipment and the RJ article went into a little bit of the history of Grancor speed equipment. You might find this interesting.

When I get near my Rodders Journal collection I'll try to find the issue number for you.
