The 6 volt pos or neg ground alternator is a conversion of the original Delco 10Si 12V negative ground, which are common as nails these days and can be had pretty cheap. Even the Asian knockoffs work well; the tech isn't rocket science any more. They were used on most Chevy models, many small Fords, AMC Jeeps, and others back in the day. You should be able to do a direct swap. You could then sell the 6V and make a few $$.
