Hey Chris, you definitely want to use a stud sealer on ALL the studs - at least any that you've taken out. I use a PTFE type sealer (like teflon pipe dope) - it works well. On the sides of the studs I always use anti-seize - to help prevent corrosion as well as make it easier to pull the head later on. The bores didn't look bad in the pics - but I have no idea as to piston-to-cylinder wall clearances, taper, etc.. How do they mic out? If they mic okay, I'd just put a new set of rings in it. Make sure you checkout the valve guides and do a valve job. There is no reason to NOT do the valves/seats when you have it down this far.
