I did something similar to my '32 sedan about 15 years ago. I made a bolt-on lower bracket that utilized the two wishbone bolts, and a bolt-on boss on the front side of the crossmember. My shocks are eyelet style, not stud.

It's a tight fit in there, with that curved spring.
