I'm not so sure you actually have a problem... I would think it would be hard to push a chassis without much weight against compression of a new engine in gear......
Maybe I'm missing something.... have you tried to start the engine and motor the chassis forward or reverse under power?

You would have to put it into 3rd with the plugs out to have the most advantage of rotating the engine while in gear... and it may take a couple of guys pushing to do it with a new engine....
again... maybe I'm missing something?
