Default Re: manifold cooker

A group of us have tried the stainless manifold cooker a couple times while on road trips. We have not had good success. There is not enough heat transfer from the manifold to the cooker as there is not enough contact surface.

One gent from our group formed the bottom surface of the cooker to a manifold and it worked much better. I think he used an old manifold as an anvil/buck and pounded down on the base of the cooker to stretch the metal to better conform.

For those of us that did not modify our cookers; in all cases, the cooker worked better as a "warmer". Regardless of actual success, we had lots fun every time we have tried it.
There is a cookbook offered for manifold cookers as I purchased one. I believe I purchased it about 8 years ago.
Good Day!
