There were at least two good sized "junkyards" near me as a kid in the sixties. They were a fascinating place to explore when my dad needed to get a part for the car or truck. One vehicle that stuck in my mind was a little red sports car, might have been a convertible, but it had what looked like a Ford flathead v8 under the hood. The car did not look like any Ford product I had ever seen. More British.
