Thx, David, & Michael, always learning w these Early Fords. I swapped out the ‘35 to a ‘39 tranny a while ago after reading here & other places Ford made changes improvements to ‘39 tranny improving shift drivability. Wrongly assumed
that was the change inside that caused the outside of tranny too. Oops
