I'd probably made a "side mount" plate - picking up at least 4 manifold bolt holes. It would be made of 1/4" minimum steel and would go across the whole manifold area - leaving room to get to the valves if needed.

Then it would have a section of tubing/pipe welded to it that would slip into the stand. This is similar to how we do things with our V8's. In mounting the tube, I would bore a hole in the plate that the tube slips into and weld the tube in on both sides.
