Guten Abend.
This is simply explained, because I worked for Ford in quality control until 1980. There were different auxiliary tools (rails, stencils, visors, ...) for the various assembly steps that were only available within the factory and not for the service workshop. Because the slowest work step set the pace for the assembly line.
