Not so great ending to my shipping story.
I had a good box, well packed, but it was not much larger than the height of the radiator. It arrived at Bert's with both tanks dented. Just not enough room to take the abuse of shipping. And to think that I paid over $100 for this priviledge.
The problem was the size of the box. I guess I probably needed 6" or more at each tank end. I only had a few inches, packed with foam, but not enough to prevent damage. An expensive lesson, for sure. Bert's also told me that during the holidays, with the volume, packages really take a beating.
