Back in the day, the 4.11:1 ratio was favored with a set of Lincoln Zephyr gears. Put some safety guards on for the rear hubs when the axles break. A quick change rear end set up might be a good choice.
Most folks favor more highway friendly set ups now days since most of us already killed our fair share of equipment back when we were young.
