Tons of info. has been written about installing an 8BA into 36-40 Fords.
When you Googgle "Install an 8BA into a 1936 ford" this appears.

Then read every link shown that mentioned anything close to what you are trying to do. Your biggest problem will be getting the 8BA fan to fit properly as it sits too high for the slanted 36 radiator. However, here's one solution:
