When I recently pulled the rear seat of my 160B I noticed the rear spring was covered with a small braided rug (I didn't think it was original as it had no "Ford" script on it. I looked for the metal cover like my Tudor has - anyhow found out that Ford made the 160 with a piece of canvas covering the hole heal in place with some 1/2" wide 12 guage straps. I drilled out the rusted screws, used 3/4" wide 1/8" thick flat stock steel and a piece of inner tube.
