Another weekend has come and gone with
no work done on the LZ or any of the other (
always in need of something) Flatheads in our garage...
I did take the LZ out for a nice ride on Saturday morning
but spent the rest of the weekend working in the yard...
Maybe this week I'll take some time and install the plug wires & looms in the LZ...
Next week I want to try and get the '51 F-1 in the garage, to pull the transmission, so we can install the
'49 Merc O/D transmission. I've never done a conversion like this before and, aside from having to shorten the drive shaft, I'm not sure if we'll need to make any other modifications
. If any of you have done a swap like this, I'd sure appreciate some helpful advice.
