Mate, you've got your wires back arseward! I just checked under the dash of my car; the runtz connects to the bottom terminal of both fuel and oil pressure gauges. Use a 50 lb sender unit with your 36 gauge to get correct reading, using an 80 lb sender will work, but register a lower than actual reading. The ammeter will be ok on 12 jolts, however, as you'll be going neg ground you'll need to run the wire through the loop the opposite way. I assure you, this information is correct, I've run my 35 [with 36 fuel gauge]for years with 12 volts and runtz. Brian
