There are a lot of complaints about the ones with the green knob shown in "PeteHoovey"'s post, but I have used them for years. Every time I use one, I take a piece of sandpaper and make sure that the contact surfaces are clean and shiny. I've never had any problems with them. I'm sure they could become a problem if you let them get dirty or corroded.
