Thanks to everyone for your responses. After a lifetime of occasionally having to put all back together to do it right, I will remove horn rod, steering wheel, seat, floor boards, brake/clutch pedals, and starter and take it out through the cab. Lucky because it is a Sports Coupe so with the rear curtain, the horn rod can be removed.

I don't think I ever had a maintenance job where I had too much space...

I appreciate the comments about wrapping items to prevent grease marks and scratches. I have sometimes forgotten to do that.
