It's a good thing to run. I've run one for over thirty years. If you have a good radiator, the engine never gets to the optimum temperature and runs cool. The thermostat makes sure your engine runs at 160 or 180 depending on which one you run.

Agree with Mister B 100%, my '31 ran cool even with in tropical summers. Since putting in a 160 T in a year ago, we run smooth and strong like never before.
