Re: Blackstone fuel pump
Mike brings up a good point about doing away with the stand but as we all know nobody rides for free. That super stiff spring does a 'number' on the face of the pump that seats
on the intake., it actually causes the mounting ears v to stretch....no jive. The Blackstone design is no more robust than the early Ford pump stands and we all know how the contact face gets roached on them. Try to imagine an 8BA double action fuel pump on an early stand. I hope I haven't lost anyone but I am including with the pump a couple heavy washers contoured to help spread the load
exerted by the spring onto the mounting ears. Hopefully I can make a push rod so I can test this funky pump.
