You do need a License Plate. Either an "antique" plate which has limited driving (shows, exhibitions, club meets, routine maintenance) or regular plates which are unlimited - but governed by your automobile insurer. (Standard question: do you have antique plates or regular plates? - two different insurance rates.)

These changes were made when a member of the State Legislature was also an antique car buff.
