Safety concerns for me are primarily about sharing freeway space with drivers in cars having better handling and braking, who have no idea of what our cars have as limits to our ability to stop or avoid their hasty maneuvers. I have no concerns on the freeway if drivers of modern cars are not trying to share the road with me.

A well restored should be safe to drive anywhere, if not for consideration of extra care needed when surrounded by modern cars driving at freeway speeds.
