I'm rebuilding my Tillotson XF carb. After I remove the throttle plate, does the shaft just push out ? The choke shaft came out easy, but the throttle shaft is not moving with a simple "push". Should I use a penetrating oil on the bushings ?

Also, the plate that connects to the throttle shaft is a little loose. It looks like it was peened over to hold it on the shaft. Can it be tightened by peening more ?
