Look at the number stamped into the flat pad at top of the bell toward front of trans,, above the little window. Hopefully, that number matches the number stamped into your front, left frame rail near the front crossmember. That is the car's official serial number, or ID number. Ford had NO "motor" numbers from the factory. DD
