Are you really sure you want to make that swap? Granted you are swapping a flat 6 for a flat 8, but sixes can be built "cool". Finned heads, multi carb intakes and split exhaust come to mind. Mine is not a flat head but I would not change it for any thing. I just ran it from FL to NH. In a word "sweet".

I never liked the Ford flathead six. We called them a hot water six. Don't have any idea how that originated. My neighbor friend had one in a `41 business coupe when I was growing up. We both grew to hate that engine. You absolutely could not back up a small grade. It would just jump up and down. Of course we blamed the engine.

My V-8 is ready and I am ready! I think...
